MY Story

I'm Arsh. Designer, filmmaker, and the sole founder of Her Story Lab.

Building this completely alone has taught me more about myself than anything else I've ever done. It forced me to find a voice I didn’t know I had, so I could help other women tell their story.

This is Maxi, my one-year-old Cavapoo and Chief Nap Officer.

As my most loyal team member, she’s never missed a single creative decision- even if she’s usually asleep on the job.

Behind every woman building something, there is a story worth telling.

I didn't wake up one day and decide to tell women’s stories.

I trained as an architect. Spent years in rooms where women were talked over, dismissed, made to feel like they had to earn their place twice over. I was called names. I was made to feel less than. And I watched brilliant women shrink themselves just to be taken seriously.

I felt that. Deeply. And I never forgot it.

I started
asking why

I hosted a small group of aspiring women founders for an evening of tea and intentionality. Using paint as our medium, we mapped out the highs and lows of our current entrepreneurial journeys. We talked about the weight of building alone and the quiet persistence required to keep pushing through. We came as founders building in isolation; we left as a community.

That feeling became Her Story Lab.

The numbers were hard to ignore. WOMEN founders received just 1 to 2% of total US venture capital in 2024, despite delivering 2.5 times better returns.

Why film?

Film captures what words cannot. People are tired of being sold to but they do respond to honesty. A real founder, a real journey, a real reason to care. That is what film does that nothing else can.

It shows the woman behind the business, not just the product she sells. It builds trust with an audience before they ever visit your website. It creates something that outlives any campaign, any post, any algorithm change.

A real story told well is the most powerful marketing tool a woman-led business can have.
